Sandy, born and raised in Eastern Germany during the time of German unification, has been living in Ireland for more than fifteen years. Her work often reflects her interest in understanding human behaviour and how to reach a balance between societal norms and personal needs. Besides her creative pursuits, she supports managers in reaching effective results.

She is the author of the novel Aus der Sicht der Dinge (2013) and has had poetry published in several German anthologies, including an award-winning piece in 2016. Having recently shifted to writing in English, she is developing new work in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction, and is actively submitting to literary journals.

Some Backstory

Before moving to Ireland in 2010, Sandy left Germany in 2007 to travel the world. While backpacking through countries like India, Thailand, Cambodia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and more, she wrote her first novel. Aus der Sicht der Dinge – Eine ungewöhnliche Freundschaft was published in 2013 and later adapted into an audiobook.
